Daniel C. Danny Jacobs, Jr. is an American actor, singer, voice artist, and comedian, best known as the voice of King Julien in The Penguins of Madagascar , Merry Madagascar , and All Hail King Julien , substituting for Sacha Baron Cohen. In MadagascarEuropes Most Wanted , he provided Juliens singing voice in the soundtrack. Jacobs even impersonated Baron Cohens character Borat Sagdiyev in Epic Movie .

Jacobs was born Daniel C. Jacobs, Jr. in Detroit, Michigan. He is the sixth of seven children. Jacobs attended St. Matthew Elementary School, Bishop Gallagher High School , Wayne State University, and the University of Arizona .
